There’s an incredibly powerful message in this book. I want to give every girl I know a like It Ends with Us. It’s a tale about untiring love and finding the solution to leave an abusive relationship even under the most difficult of circumstances.
When I first heard about this book, one of the things that intrigued me was what the title actually meant. And there is this one very precise moment in the novel where the title is echoed that just had a such a powerful impact as I read it.
The title is truly perfect. I know that this is one of those profoundly beautiful and unforgettable stories that will stay with me for a long time.
The novel tells the story of lily bloom and her doomed romance with Ryle Kincaid and traces of her past history growing up in an abusive home. Her fall into an abusive relationship, and her escape from that relationship.
Lily and Ryle manage to connect and get to know each other with their secrets. They call it “naked truth.” The extraordinary truths and familiarity brought them to life together. Another character is Atlas, who is a very remarkable man. The book bounces you between the past, written from Lily’s diary to the present.
Lily writes about Atlas, a youngster without a family or a place to call home in her diary. Lily assists Atlas, she snuck him over to her house, let him shower, gave him clothing, watch tv with him, dine with him and so on. The connection between them is definitely special.
After all these years, Lily and Ryle walk into a posh restaurant where she runs into Atlas and learns that he has created and improved his life.
There are so many great things to write about this book. Though I keep getting distracted by my personal experiences somewhere. I almost cried at some places. So, I don’t want to write more about the story. This was an exceptionally powerful story and will not be the one people will be expecting.
I believe you should go read this book with as little prior knowledge as possible. Just keep in mind that this book of Colleen Hoover is considerably dissimilar than Hoover’s typical new adult romances.
I highly recommend it to everyone.
