I should start by admitting that I don’t like love triangles. I so wanted to love this book Maybe Someday. Honestly, I have such mixed feelings. I enjoyed how the book depicted Ridge and Sydney’s suffering. You could sense their pleasure with themselves and their surroundings. But the whole cheating and love triangle thing didn’t do it for me.
Usually, I love turns and twist this book,’ Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover ‘had to offer but romance is not my genre of choice. I find them too cheesy. Novel ‘May be Someday’ begins with Ridge, a young songwriter. He is living a perfect life with his best friend and also his roommate, Warren and his six years long girlfriend Maggie.
On the other hand, Sydney is a college student and is living her life to the fullest. She even has plans to marry her boyfriend after graduation and to achieve a successful career. Both navigate their own personal struggles and find peace in each other’s company.
In the novel Maybe Someday Sydney and Ridge had no special connection with each other. But life had different plans for them. When Sydney’s boyfriend cheats on her with her best friend. She has no place to go to and living on the street is not a good option. Fate leads to her finding a perfect home at Ridge’s apartment.
The young couple, being so much alike and spending so much time in the company of each other started to gain feelings even when they tried their best to avoid each other. Ridge, not being the man to cheat on the woman he had loved for the past six years.
He tried his best to set boundaries to avoid any kind of mistake that might hurt everyone, he loved. But the feelings cannot be ignored, the bond is stronger than ever, and the hearts are just not ready to accept the reality.
Maybe just maybe they will find each other someday, but will that someday ever come?
